To help answer some of the common questions we get asked about the holiday cottage we have created a handy FAQ page. If you do have a question that is not answered on this page please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • How many guests can be accommodated by Courtyard Cottage?

Courtyard Cottage comfortably accommodates up to four in two bedrooms. An infant is also welcome. 

  • How many bedrooms does Courtyard Cottage have?

There are two good sized bedrooms at Courtyard Cottage, the first is a double with king-size bed, the second is a twin with two full-size single beds. 

  • Can the two single beds be joined together?

The two single beds are not zip and link, however, they can be pushed together and a king-size duvet provided. 

  • How many bathrooms does Courtyard Cottage have?

There are two bathrooms at Courtyard Cottage, the first is an en-suite shower room, the second is a family bathroom with a walk-in shower. 

  • Does the cottage have WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is provided. 

  • Does the cottage welcome dogs?

Sorry, dogs are not permitted at Courtyard Cottage. 

  • Does the cottage have a garden and is it enclosed?

The cottage does not have a lawned garden, however, it does have four separate terraces surrounding the cottage so guests can always enjoy the sun whether it is in the morning or afternoon. None of the terraces are enclosed. 

  • Does the cottage have off road car parking?

Yes, there is parking for two cars. 

  • Is there outdoor storage space for bikes and surfboards?

Yes, guests are welcome to store bikes and surfboards in the garage. There is also access to an outside tap and hose for washing off sandy wetsuits etc. 

  • What appliances are in the cottage?

There are several appliances in the kitchen, these include Neff fitted appliances, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, an induction hob, a multi-functioning oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer (70:30 split) and a Nespresso coffee machine. 

  • Is a cot and high chair available?

Yes a travel cot (no linen) and a high chair can be requested before arrival for no additional charge. 

  • Are there any steps in the cottage?

There is one step within the cottage separating the kitchen from the family bathroom and twin-bedroom, there are also some steps outside including those from the car parking area to the cottage and around the raised terrace area. It is however possible to walk from the car parking to the front door down a slope and a few small steps, avoiding any long staircases.

  • Is the cottage suitable for guests with mobility issues?

Unfortunately, the cottage is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to a number of steps outside that need to be navigated to access the cottage. There is also one step inside the cottage which separates the kitchen from the family bathroom and twin-bedroom.

  • Are bed linen and towels supplied?

Yes, bed linen (not for the cot) and towels are supplied.

  • What heating is available at the cottage?

The cottage has underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.

  • Where is the nearest beach?

Saunton is 8.5 miles, Croyde is 11 miles, Woolacombe is 12 miles and Westward Ho! 13 miles.

  • How far is the nearest pub?

The New Inn at Goodleigh is 4.4 miles, The Pyne Arms at East Down 5.8 miles and The Muddiford Inn 3 miles. 

  • Can we get a supermarket delivery? 

Yes, all the major supermarkets will deliver to the cottage. A postcode will be sent to guests after the balance has been paid.

  • How do we book the cottage?

Booking the cottage is easiest through our online booking calendar, however, you can also book Courtyard Cottage via email or on 01271 377 432. To secure a booking we require a 30% deposit with the outstanding balance due eight weeks prior to arrival. 

  • What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payment methods via debit/credit cards, PayPal, cheque and bank transfer.

  • Do you require a security/damage deposit?

Yes, a £200.00 refundable security deposit is taken with the balance and all being well returned to you within seven working days of your departure. 

  • Are short breaks available?

Short breaks are available outside of the summer months and school holidays. For more information please get in touch.
